Documentation
Main Functions Overview
- Manual and automatic Scrobbling
- Automatic Identification of Trackinformation (Artist, Track)
- Manual Trackinformation (also per marke & paste)
Scrobbling
Videos get scrobbled at the point, you heard 50% of the video. On besides the scrobble-button shows you that the actual video is scrobbled.
It is important you alway try to set the correct artist & track information so you don’t spam your Last.fm-Profile with useless data.
Automatic Scrobbling
Videos only get automaticly scrobbled if the video is in the category music and a/the Trackinformation could be found (of course).
If not a warning window will open so you have to edit the data manually.
Automatic identification of trackinformation (Artist, Track)
YouScrobbler will try to analyze Artist and Track from the YouTube Video-Title.
So this must be in the format artist – track. The format artist-track is also supported.
The following characters get deleted: “ and ‘. Brackets(( & [) and the following content gets deleted, too.

YouScrobbler is based on the code of youscrobble, which doesnt work anymore.

In Opera right after getting back from Last.fm permission page:
Uncaught exception: TypeError: Cannot convert ‘BFather’ to object
Error thrown at line 255, column 1 in us_addButton():
BFather.insertBefore(button, BFather.firstChild);
called from line 85, column 1 in init():
us_addButton();
called from line 1062, column 0 in program code:
document.onLoad = init();
Does the script seem to function in anyway?
I cant find any error.
Nope. All the time it shows unknown error message.
The script doesn’t work on my Safari. Youtube says, the song is scroobled but i don’t see it in my Lastfm Musiklibrary. I use the script with Ninjakit http://steeev.freehostia.com/wp/2010/07/19/new-extension-for-safari-5-called-ninjakit-lets-you-install-gm-scripts/
Any suggestions?
Hello Lukas!
I just tried it and at the first look it seems like NinjaKit doesnt support essential userscript functions correctly, which YouScrobbler needs to run.
I’ll stay tuned on NinjaKit updates to see, if they repair this function.
Fehler: function statement requires a name
Quelldatei: resource://greasemonkey/runScript.js
Zeile: 917, Spalte: 9
Quelltext:
function () {
Sag mir dochmal welchen Browser du nutzt in welcher Version.
Außerdem jegliche Fehlermeldungen. (Firefox: STRG+UMSCHALT+J -> Fehler-Tab)
we have a version that does scrobber automatic? thank you
A Version with automatic scrobbling is in development. Im testing and optimizing it and it will be launched within the next weeks.
